The Ying and the Yang

Without evil, there is no good.
Without night, there is no day.
Without summer, there is no winter.

Difficult times serve a purpose too.
They help us to be aware and grateful for pleasant, peaceful times we know.

When illness and hardships strike,
They serve to accentuate the good times we all like.

Once you are able to examine your feelings,
They tend to loosen their grip and let you experience healings.

Then, in retrospection, the emotions you had that were blue or sad,
Make happiness feel even sweeter after enduring all the bad.

So, in truth, the darkest times produce the brightest star,
And surviving them makes you realize how strong you really are.
