Family is all that matters in this world today,
It’s the one thing in your life that will always stay.
Sometimes one has the tendency to treat friends in a more caring way
Thus making a family member feel hurt and filled with dismay.
When push comes to shove, it’s the family who’s around
To help pick you up and plant your feet on the ground.
Regardless of what you have done or said in the past,
Your family will stay with you, ‘til the very last’.
Think how comforting it is to know
That for them, you don’t have to put on a show.
They know you and love you, faults and all
And will give you strength to recover from every “fall”.
Someone up above planned this life with care,
Creating family to give, support, and to always be there.
So, the next time you ‘re perplexed about a family member,
Just think back and try to remember
Who it was that was there for you
When hard times came and your friends were few.
It’s comforting to know when you feel hurt or lost
That family sticks by you at any cost.
