My dogs have seen me through many a hard time,
With love and a lick, they bring smiles to your face.
I think they are the most wonderful creatures I the world or any place.
Somehow they make all problems disappear
And all they ask in return is a little scratch behind the ear.
They respond with loving eyes and a lick so warm,
Totally dependent on you to keep them from harm.
Unlike humans they demand only your love,
They are truly God’s angels sent from above.
If you’re down and out and really depressed,
They seem to know that you both need to be caressed.
Before long you’ll be laughing out loud,
And you’ll get out from under that dark, dark cloud.
So, pray to god in Heaven above,
To send you a pet and fill your house with unconditional love.
