A Tribute to Dogs

Dogs are such wonderful creatures.
They love you no matter what you do.
With no thoughts of race, weight or attractive features
They adore just because you’re you.

When left alone they sleep or pout,
Awaiting the time you’ll be back and take them out.
Tails wag, barks greet you as they wait at the door,
Licks signal joy that you’re back once more.

Into your lap they jump with glee,
As they sit close by with their head on your knee.
Eyes look at you so filled with love,
It’s obvious they are gifts sent to us from above.

What perfect examples of how people should live,
And of how happy we’d be if we all had love to give.
